Callahan Bicycles would like to congratulate all Vikings Cycling Club participants in the Tour of Bright 2011, and applauds the determination, team spirit and sense of fun with which they approached this gruelling event.

Shining stars included:

• Lisa Keeling, Womens B - winner of General Classification (best total time) aka “Yellow Jersey” in a time that was faster than most of Womens A grade - also winner of the Queen of the Mountains aka “Polkadot Jersey” in a clean sweep of maximum points - and 1st place in the Individual Time Trial.
• Deciana Speckmann, Womens B - outright 1st place in the Tawonga Town Sprint and 2nd place sprinter overall, 3rd in the Individual Time Trial.
• Rach Green, Womens C - 8th place Individual Time Trial and in the road stages did a lot of work for fellow Canberran riders in her grade.
• Tim Matuszyk, Mens C - 25th place General Classification in a tough field of over 100 competitors.
• Brad Drew, Mens C - 19th place in the Individual Time Trial. Very fast and slippery!
• Paddy Quiggin, Mens C - 3rd place in the Boyntens Sprint and a nasty surprise for the unwary!
